Neighboring our villa 22, villa 23 is also an old fisherman’s house located in the heart of Quadrado which, to our luck, has just been toppled. Known as João Alves – the name of its original owner -, the property was renovated by the same architect as Pousada Uxuá, but has retained the rustic charm.
Staying in this villa means having the privilege of following closely the pulsating life of the place. Every day, a little surprise can be seen from the living room window: capoeiristas give a show of waddling, children run freely, wedding guests going towards the church and locals telling the story of the season.
There are two suites, a kitchen open to the living room and, most notably, a terrace overlooking the cliffs and the sea at the back of the property. With a delicious sofa, it is the perfect place to continue contemplating the good life of Bahia.
Villa 23 includes an experienced maid who prepares a typical breakfast – tapioca, a lot of tropical fruits and muffins included – every day. In the same pattern, villa 22 can be rented together if the groups are larger.
